Confluence brings together two distinctive Minnesota choirs for a weekend of collaborative performances celebrating artistry, connection, and shared expression. Featuring Choral Arts Treble Singers under the direction of Dr. Ryan Deignan and the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus Borealis Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Gerald Gurss, these concerts highlight the unique strengths of each ensemble while exploring the expressive possibilities of voices and communities coming together.

Now in just their third season, the Choral Arts Treble Singers have quickly established themselves through refined vocal artistry and expressive performances spanning both classical and popular repertoire. Formed in 2013, Borealis is the select chamber ensemble of the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus, recognized for its musical excellence, versatility, and emotionally compelling programming.

At the heart of Confluence is a celebration of the distinctive beauty of treble and tenor-bass choral sound worlds. From the brilliance, warmth, and agility of women's voices to the depth, richness, and sonority of lower voices, each ensemble brings its own color and character to the stage. With performances in both Twin Cities and Rochester, audiences will experience each choir individually in repertoire that showcases its distinct identity and artistry before the ensembles unite for several combined selections that reveal the sonic possibilities of these voices together.
