CAE is excited to present several of the most beloved choral pieces of all time in one spine-tingling concert! Herbert Howells’ emotionally stirring Requiem will be the featured centerpiece of this concert along with a suite from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s majestic Russian tour de force Vespers (All Night Vigil). Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei (originally Adagio for Strings), performed last season, will be encored, as it was the ‘winner’ of our Audience Favorites poll taken last season! Alongside these masterpieces will be musical jewels by Orlando Gibbons, Kenneth Jennings, Dominick Argento and Stephen Paulus. Cozy up to our ‘choral fireplace’ as the voices of CAE present a program of favorite a cappella treasures!
