Choral Arts Ensemble Commissioning Club

In 1999, Choral Arts Ensemble created a Commissioning Club. The members joined for three year terms and paid annual dues of $500 per entity (individual or couple) to endow the creation of new choral works. The vision of the members of the Club for this exciting endeavor led to the decision of the CAE Board of Directors to incorporate new commissions into the mission and budget of Choral Art Ensemble, and since the 2007-08 season, commissioning has been considered part of our programming expenses (with the exception of the Mary Joyce Frantz Memorial Christmas Carols, which are paid for through their own fund). We are grateful for the support and enthusiasm of the Commissioning Club, which underwrote 13 new works in its eight year history. We are very proud of our record of commissions, many of which have been published and many of which have been performed by choirs around the country.
